The North Salem Library recently kicked off its $1.2 renovation and expansion project at a groundbreaking with (left to right) Council members Thomas Belcastro and Cynthia Curtis, Chris Meyer of Meyer Contracting, Supervisor Sy Globerman, Nick Centorani of M&T Bank and Library Board President Peter Kamenstein.

"The groundbreaking ceremony at the North Salem Library was an exciting and anxiously anticipated event. Finally, our Library is going to be able to expand to better serve our Town citizens and other members in the area. I'm confident that I speak for everyone there when I say that it was a satisfying day and one that truly marked the beginning of a new chapter in our Library's growth. The Town Board wishes the Library Board members and Library staff the very best of good fortune and that they can count on our continuing support," said Belcastro.
