The Open Space Committee is in the process of drafting an Open Space Plan for North Salem. This document will be an invaluable tool to assist the Comprehensive Plan Committee in the formulation of the Town's long-range plan. The Plan will lay the foundation for identifying all significant open spaces in the town for purposes of preservation and protection of the area's natural resources, wildlife, flora and fauna, and significant visual and scenic areas. AKRF, a professional planning firm, is assisting the OSC in the preparation and drafting of the Plan. This volunteer committee is flexible in number and individual members have no set terms.
