A Marriage License is required for any couple intending to be married in New York. The license may be obtained anywhere in New York. There is a 24-hour waiting period before the license can be used; once issued the license is valid for 60 days.
Marriage license applicants MUST bring the following documents:
- Certified copy of their Birth Certificate.
- A Driver's License or a Passport.
If this is NOT the first marriage you must also bring a certified copy of each Divorce Judgment and/or a certified Death Certificate.
The License Fee is $40.00 (Cash or Check)
