Save on your Electric Bills with Community Solar

Want to save up to 10% Off Electricity Bills by Supporting Local Solar Power?

Sign Up to Sustainable Westchester Community Solar!

Community solar allows you to receive all the benefits of renewable energy without installing solar panels on your own property.  Clean energy generated by a solar farm located elsewhere in NYSEG’s territory goes into our local power grid to be used by you and our other community solar participants.  Residents who have already signed up are seeing a substantial savings.  Learn more and sign up in minutes at SustainableWestchester.org/Solar.

The Town is pleased to offer you this opportunity through our partnership with Sustainable Westchester, a non-profit based in Mount Kisco.

  • Save up to 10% off your electricity bills.
  • Free to Sign Up.
  • No cost to cancel (with 60-days-notice)
  • No change to your electric supplier (NYSEG, Westchester Power, etc.)
  • Renters, homeowners, houses of worship, and eligible organizations and businesses welcome!

How Does Community Solar Provide You With Savings?

  1. Sign Up – Click “Sign Up” and then choose a solar farm in the NYSEG area! There is no cost to join or cancel.
  2. The solar energy generated by your community solar farm earns you solar credits that reduce your electricity bill.
  3. The solar farm auto-bills you (provide your billing details upon sign up) for those solar credits at a 10% discount, saving you money!
