Historic Landmarks and Roads

In recognition of our rich heritage that crosses several centuries, the Town Board has designated these historic landmarks and two historic roads to help preserve the past for future generations. Other sites are under consideration and being researched. Three buildings - Delancey Hall, Purdy Homestead and Union Hall - are also on the National Register of Historic Places.

It is a privilege - not a burden - to own a landmark. If you have an interesting Victorian home, colonial barn, arts & craft cottage, unusual outbuilding, enigmatic stonework or other historic structure, please get in touch with HPC secretary Jennifer Santis by email or (914) 669-0245. We will assist with research and help you decide whether or not to request landmark status for your property.
